AI-SAROSH is a knowledge hub to make sexual and reproductive health services, information, and resources more accessible, reliable, and accountable in South Asia, to help people make more informed decisions and receive quality care with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Together, we will work towards our unified goal of a healthier, more prosperous South Asia.

The research track is where the applicant will develop new ideas, new solutions or concepts while in the innovation track the applicant might be updating, testing or expanding an existing solution.

If you are registered in Nepal, the proposed project is based in Nepal and you can receive funding in Nepal, then you are eligible.

The affiliated university has to be based in Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka. However, you may work with an organization registered in one of these countries who will then receive the funds.

You may partner with an organization with AI expertise and submit a joint proposal. Alternatively, you could hire a consultant with AI expertise and apply. AI-SAROSH has a pool of experts from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan Sri Lanka. You may reach out to us in case you cannot find, and our secretariate will connect you with a specialist.

Yes you may apply in the innovation track as long as the project is within the domain of SRMH and is developing an AI solution.

Unfortunately, individuals are not eligible to apply. You can apply on behalf of your hospital as long as they have the required expertise.?

You may submit a proposal in the research track.

The duration of our funding is 2 years maximum. However, we are open to co-funded projects. If you have an alternate source of funding beyond 2 years, you may apply.

While we encourage the applicants to stick to the ideas they mentioned in the EOI, It is understandable that ideas may evolve over time. In such a case, the applicant will need to write to aisarosh@phcglobal.org no later than 15/05/2023 with the subject title "Change of area of work, organization/applicant name" with the description of the new concept. It will help us plan the review process better. Following this date, the idea may not be changed.

For joint proposals, letters of consortium are necessary. Support letters from other organizations are desirable but track record of work and projects with such organizations may also be acceptable.

Yes, you may submit a proposal in the innovation track.

We are open to co-funded projects, so you may apply for additional sources of funding to cover additional costs.

Yes, you may collaborate with one or more organizations in the one or more of the 4 mentioned countries and submit a joint proposal.

In case of a single proposal, the budget ceiling is 70,000 CAD irrespective of in how many settings it is conducted.

Even if one of the collaborating organizations is based in one of the eligible countries and if the project is based in one of the eligible countries, you may apply. Please note that the funding will only be disbursed in the four eligible countries.
